an assessment of sustainable competitive advantages.
Futurus, in collaboration with its network of specialists, together with the project sponsors, potential investors and financial institutions is able to not only co-ordinate these phases, but also execute on them. On completion, the outcomes are consolidated into a detailed Business Case for approaching investors and financial institutions to secure the required debt and equity funding (“Bankable Feasibility Study”).

FINANCIAL MODELLING AND INVESTMENT RISK ASSESSMENT A flexible Excel based financial model, inclusive of historical data (if existing) and scenario forecasting, is an invaluable tool to assess sustainability and future viability of a project or company. It enables project sponsors and management to review strategies, derive improved financial/investment decisions and mitigate risks. Such a financial model will include all the elements reflected in the picture for assessing the investment performance and risk to derive informed decisions on the allocation of capital.
Futurus has the required expertise to develop and build flexible financial models for either existing companies or for “greenfields” projects. A financial model will be built through an interactive process, involving all key stakeholders and major decisionmakers, and will translate the understanding of current business operations and/or the opportunity feasibility assessment into financial terms. BUSINESS PLANS AND FUND RAISING Venturing into a new projects/start-ups or raising funds for expansions or recapitalization of existing companies requires a viable business case embedded in a detailed business plan for approaching financial institutions to secure the necessary funding.

SPECIALIST STUDIES Specialized studies are required to inform strategies and business growth decisions. Such studies could focus either on the technical, market, financial or commercial aspects of a proposed investment.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT Applying the appropriate project management principles and methodologies ensures completion of a defined scope of work within schedule and budget. Such project management principles also require that appropriate contracting agreements are negotiated, concluded and implemented to achieve the desired outcomes. An integral part of project management includes identification of risks, assessment of likelihood and impact, as well as proposing and implementation of risk mitigation steps.
